Inspiration for novel: |
The 80s cult vampire movies, Fright Night and The Lost Boys . After watching these over and over again as a teenager, I wanted to write my own piece of vampire fiction. One that was very different from those and other traditional tales I've seen and read. A less gory, more romantic story between vampire and mortal. |
| Fun Fact: | Emily's cat, Sir Galahad, is based on my late cat, Boomer. |
| Fun Fact: | After completing this story's outline, I felt it was too sad, too tragic to publish and I nearly abandoned it. For several months, I toyed with the idea of changing the ending, but realized it just wouldn't deliver the "punch" I had wanted. Ultimately, I decided to proceed and write Forever David's as I originally envisioned. |
